Hi, all! I’m Mia Murr, the founder of MONOSUIT.
If I could do one thing, it would be space travel. Put me on a rocket and let me fly! My love of space travel and futurism is what inspires my designs. Have you ever seen a space movie where they DIDN’T wear jumpsuits? Me neither! I love fashion, and I’ve been designing my own clothes since I was 8 years old (Sorry, mom, for cutting up your favorite dress!).
My second big passion is sustainability. I grew up on a poor farm in Eastern Europe, where I learned to love and respect the earth. My first job as a financial consultant took me around the world and opened my eyes to rampant ocean pollution.So I decided to combine my passions – fashion and sustainability. I honed my skills at the prestigious Central Saint Martins fashion school and founded MONOSUIT in 2018 in New York City. Our jumpsuits are made from recycled fishing nets, so we’re cleaning up the ocean one MONOSUIT at a time. I’m honored that celebrities including Paris Hilton, Madonna and many more have worn my designs.
Last year, I even got to showcase my Eco Jumpsuits on Shark Tank! We’re building an eco-community of people who want to wear beautiful clothes and clean up the ocean at the same time. I hope you’ll join us!
In the meantime, I’m in California designing the latest eco-friendly MONOSUIT fashions while also catering to the whims of my very fluffy diva cat, Umka.
MONOSUIT is an independent New-York based brand founded in 2018 by a female entrepreneur — a Central Saint Martin’s graduate Mia Murr, whose inspiration comes from space science and the idea of interplanetary travel.
Our centerpiece is a “smart” technological jumpsuit aka “monosuit” with an innovative solution — patented SECRET ZIPPERS in the lower back which solve tons of practical issues around wearing a one-piece in everyday life.
We are pioneers in the field of seamless clothing made on the principle of circular design, with ECONYL® recycled yarn, zero-waste policy, and antibacterial impregnation. We prioritize both sustainability and ethical manufacturing practices in order to eliminate any harmful impact on our planet.
